ID Senior Thesis Exhibit 2012 | January 30, 2012

When I saw the thesis exhibit as a freshman, I was amazed. As a sophomore, I was scared. Now, I’m excited. I know I’ll regret these words in a few months, but I can’t wait to start working on my thesis. It was really interesting talking to some of the seniors and the professors about the projects this year. My personal favorites are Corinne Serrano’s Sinag, Cherie Tan’s My Pocket Divi and Sam Chan’s Tangent. I’ll probably post more about them soon. The trend this year is web-based programs and Smartphone apps, but next year, I vow to make mine printed. :)

The Information Design Thesis Exhibit can be found at 3F Gonzaga Exhibit Hall at Ateneo de Manila University until this Saturday. Hope you can drop by and see the awesomeness that is ID!

Three years ago

I still remember that exact moment. A friend of my parents who worked in Ateneo said that she saw a Lastimosa in the list of passers at the Blue Eagle Gym, but she didn’t get a closer look so she couldn’t confirm if it was me. I pretended not to care. I was so set on failing, and I didn’t even want to go to Ateneo.

I was curious, though. I spent quite a few minutes trying to get the results from the website. After refreshing the site over and over again, I saw this. I literally froze. It really felt like the world stopped turning for a few seconds.

At the time, I really didn’t want to go to this school. My parents weren’t having that, though. They wouldn’t let me pass that opportunity up, and I’m glad they did that. In all honesty, I can’t imagine myself anywhere else now. Best three years of my life so far. :)

It’s that time of year again! Step up and be part of something amazing. :)
